UK should ask EU to remove Iranian opposition (PMOI/MEK) from blacklist - Lord Robin Corbett

Lord Robin Corbett, Chairman of the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom NCRI - "Next, and very soon, we expect our government to fulfill its legal and moral obligation to ask the European Union to remove the copycat ban on the Resistance imposed at the UK’s request. And, the Americans then would be wise to do the same since the Resistance is on the side of freedom and not the enemy of freedom," Lord Robin Corbett, Chairman of the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom told a gathering of more than 70,000 Iranians in Paris on June 28, 2008.

Iran: Mullahs station forces in parks to further crackdown on women

National Council of Resistance of IranNCRI - Head of the moral security police of the State Security Forces of the Iranian regime, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Roozbehani, announced on Monday "more security forces will be deployed in parks." He added that 65 to 70 thousands would be used in the new plan against women.

"In big public parks police force will be stationed permanently and in smaller ones security patrols will be active," Roozbehani told state-run media reporters.

US moves against Iranian regime's officials, companies

LavizanWASHINGTON (AP) — The Bush administration moved Tuesday to impose financial sanctions on Iranian officials and companies accused of helping the country develop nuclear weapons.

The action by the departments of State and Treasury marks the latest effort to tighten the financial noose on Iran, which the United States accuses of bankrolling terrorism and seeking a nuclear bomb.

NCRI - In a crackdown on Dervishes in Iran, the State Security Force (SSF) -- mullahs’ suppressive police -- leveled Mr. Rahmatollah Javadi’s house on July 5 using municipal bulldozers. Other Dervishes and the residents of Charmhin city in Isfahan, rushed to the area and clashed with the suppressive forces.

Congressman Edolphus Towns, Democrat member of U.S. House of Representatives from New YorkNCRI - Congressman Edolphus Towns, Democrat member of U.S. House of Representatives from New York, in a message to the gathering of 70,000 Iranians in Paris on June 28, 2008, expressed his support for the Third Option introduced by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance.  The Third Option dismisses war and the policy of appeasement toward the mullahs' regime in Iran and relies on the Iranian people and their organized resistance to bring democratic change in Iran.

Congressman Towns called on the U.S. government to seriously consider the recent British court's ruling on the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) that led to deproscription of the organization in UK, and removal of the restrictions that has been placed on the group.

Iran: More suppressive SSF agents in the parks in summer

Women's repression in IranNCRI - Deputy Chief, Colonel Mohsen Khancherli for the State Security Forces (SSF) – mullahs' suppressive police – in Tehran said in an interview with the state-run news agency Fars on Saturday, "We have expanded our operations to increase security in the parks during the summer season."
