NCRI - Six firefighters have been jailed for more than 48 hours in Ahmadabad Detention Center, according to the Resistance sources in Iran.
They were arrested for refusing to quell a labor demonstration using hot water canons at Kiyan Tire Factory (Alborz) in suburban Tehran, Iran's capital. In a move of sympathy with the striking workers, the firemen discharged the hot water on the street. |

NCRI - Iran regime on Tuesday hanged a man in the northern city of Gonbad Kavoos, the state run broadcasting company's website reported. The prisoner, identified as Abdollah A., was hanged in the city's prison. |

NCRI - The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council, the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia as well as Germany will meet on Wednesday in the Chinese city of Shanghai to discuss Iranian regime’s nuclear program. The Security Council has imposed three rounds of sanctions on Iranian regime for defying council demand to suspend its uranium enrichment program, which could be used to produce nuclear weapons. |

NCRI- Amnesty International said on Tuesday in its annual report on the death penalty worldwide that in Iran at least 317 were executed in 2007.
According to the figures from Amnesty International's yearly statistics, at least 1,252 people were executed in 24 countries worldwide. More than a quarter of all known executions in the world were carried out by the regime in Iran. |

NCRI - Thirty-one girls and thirty-six boys were arrested in a crackdown by the State Security forces (SSF) -- the suppressive police -- in the northern suburbs of Tehran, Iran's capital, reported the semi-official daily Jomhouri-Islami on Monday. |
