NCRI - Workers at Iran's major tire factory, Kiyan Tire, walked out again over their disputed pay cuts with the factory's management. They began their third day of strike threatening not to return to work unless the hand-picked management meets their demands, reported the state-run news agency ILNA on Friday. |

NCRI - The part-time workers of the ARPCO walked out over their unpaid salaries and other benefits. There are over 1000 part-time workers employed in the factory. ARPCO founded in 1966, posses over 30 years of experience in steel industry. NCRI - Bronislaw Geremek, a political icon and philanthropist lost his life in a car accident, on July 13. He was 76 at the time of his death.
Mr. Geremek was a founding member of the Solidarity trade union, who devoted all his life for freedom and democracy in Poland. |

NCRI - Seventy teenaged boys and girls were arrested on Thursday by the Chastity Unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in party in the southern city of Shiraz.
"Seventy boys and girls were arrested by the IRGC paramilitary Bassij Force in Qalat district of Shiraz. The warrants for searching the premises and arresting the participants were provided earlier by the judicial authority," reported the state-run media outlets. |

NCRI - More than 300 truck drivers protesting to the police corruption by demanding kickbacks from them blocked Tehran-Jajroud highway.
Truckers blocked Tehran-Jajroud highway in protest to police corruptions. The participating drivers explained to vehicles stopping that the police was allowed only to intervene when a crime was in the making or to issue tickets for traffic violations. However, they [police] stop us on the road and demand bribes for something they made up as traffic violations. |

Source: The Birmingham Post By: Lord Corbett of Castle Vale The European Union’s efforts to convince Iran to suspend its nuclear activities are getting nowhere. Its foreign policy chief Javier Solana visited Tehran last month to offer it a “re-vitalised” package of incentives from the world’s major powers in return for a halt to uranium enrichment.
As usual, Tehran said it would give the package serious consideration while reiterating that it would not halt uranium enrichment. As the mullahs continue to play time games with the international community, the centrifuges are spinning in the underground nuclear bunker in Natanz to produce the uranium needed to make weapons. |
