NCRI - Iraqi National Dialogue Front, headed by Dr. Saleh Matlaq, condemned bombing of Ashraf City water supply pumping station by the Qods Force terrorist agents of the Iranian regime in Iraq.
In its statement the Iraqi National Dialogue Front strongly condemned the bombing as a criminal action and part of a broader conspiracy against the Iranian political refugees residing in Ashraf City.
NCRI - Despite widespread international calls by humanitarian organizations for stay of execution sentence of a teenager, Behnam Zarei, Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi the mullahs judiciary chief ordered the youngster's family to try to get the victim's survivors consent otherwise the execution should be carried out as planned.
NCRI - In a statement issued on February 9, the Friends of a Free Iran Inter-Parliamentary group at the European Parliament strongly condemned the bombing of the water supply pumping station to Ashraf City, home to members of the Iranian opposition movement, People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Diyala province in Iraq.
"Bombing water supply stations and pipelines are considered as war crimes against protected persons and local residents, according to the Geneva Convention", The statement said.

In its statement the council described the mullahs' bombing attack on the water pumping station of Ashraf City (home to members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Iraq) a "criminal act" against political refugees in Iraq.

NCRI - Following verdicts by a British court and resolutions recently adopted by Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament which dealt devastating blows to terrorist listing of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) and a subsequent listing of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps – Qods Force as well as the mullahs Ministry of Defense, the Iranian regime in past few weeks dispatched a number of agents of Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) as well as Qods Force elements from Iran and abroad to Iraq.
NCRI- "On Saturday, the Qods force had bombed the pumping station supplying water to Ashraf city, 100 kilometres north-east of Baghdad, according to Iranian resistance sources," Deutsche Presse-Agentur, DPA, reported.
"The president-elect of the Paris-based Iranian Resistance, Maryam Rajavi, has called on the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international and human rights bodies to condemn the attack. She also called for the prosecution of the perpetrators", the report added.
NCRI - On Thursday, at a press conference at the Iranian regime's embassy in Madrid, Seyed Davoud Salehi, mullahs regime ambassador to Spain, defended inhuman punishment of amputations and hangings by the clerics, Spanish Media reported. He criticized the reports on abysmal record of human rights violations in Iran and called on the monitoring organizations to respect such inhuman punishments as "local traditions."
Iranian regime's ambassador to Spain compared chopping off the hands of victims to a "surgeon amputating a limb to prevent the spread of gangrene. " He argued that the death penalty was necessary "to preserve the health of society as a whole." Salehi said that the Iran's judiciary had decided to carry out execution and stoning less in public to prevent images of hanging and stoning in public squares being broadcast around the world.
NCRI - "The press spokesman for the People Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Ashraf camp denied detentions of members of Mojahedin Khalq", in Iraq, Deutsche Presse-Agentur, DPA reported on Saturday.
He told dpa: "This is a misinformation campaign by the Iranian regime against PMOI in Ashraf. We totally deny this claim, and all members of the Mojahedin are staying in Ashraf and protected by the US military."
"He said the Iranian regime had dispatched to Iraq some elements of the Qods force, which is considered a terrorist organization by the United States, to pursue this misinformation campaign", dpa added.
