Arkansas meetingNCRI - “Removing the terrorist label from the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) remains the best option for bringing democracy to Iran,” Northwest Arkansas Times quoting Hooshang Nazarali speaking to a forum on November 29 in Fayetteville of Arkansas. Nazarali, a Madison County Justice of the Peace and business owner, is an Iranian American actively working to replace the current government in Iran, which he says is a threat to human rights, not only in that country but around the world, the Times reported.

Iran soccer star exposes Tehran's disinformation campaign against PMOI

Hassan Naeb-AghaBOI, Dec. 2 – In an open letter, former Iranian national soccer team player and Argentina World Cup participant, Hassan Naeb-Agha, denounced plots by the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) to use his name and popularity in a campaign to demonize the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), the clerical regime’s main opposition.

Naeb-Agha, a popular football star in Iran in the late 70s, accused the MOIS of interfering in his private life and bringing emotional harm to his children, in an attempt to accuse the PMOI of rights abuses. Naeb-Agha warned that the MOIS was planning a renewed campaign of assassinations against renowned dissidents throughout Europe and the US. The current disinformation campaign was a bid to set the stage for possible terrorist attacks by Tehran's agents, similar to the 1990s, he said.

Iran-Nuclear: Top cleric praises militia for defending nuclear program

Bassij forceNCRI - A top cleric in Iran praised the country's Basij militia for being instrumental in what he said was a climbdown by the West over mullahs’ nuclear program.

"One of the features of the Basij is resisting pressure, and this has made the International Atomic Energy Agency's board of governors retreat from re-issuing a harsh resolution against Iran," Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati told worshippers at Friday prayers sermon in Tehran today.

Iran oil industry ails as no minister approved by Majlis

Gas industryNCRI - Iran's oil industry is not just in the doldrums, it is sinking, said Christian Oliver of the Reuters.

The world's fourth biggest crude producer has not had an oil minister since August, meaning output loss continues unabated, new production deals have no hope of getting signed and Tehran's voice in OPEC is barely a whisper.

Iran and Russia sign $1 bln defense deal

A Russian air defense missile system NCRI - Russia plans to sell more than $1 billion worth of tactical surface-to-air missiles and other defense hardware to Iranian regime, according to press on Friday.

Moscow is already at odds with the West over its nuclear ties with Tehran. The regime is to buy 29 TOR-M1 systems designed to bring down aircraft and guided missiles at low altitudes.

This is the biggest sale of Russian defense hardware to Iran for about five years. Moscow and Tehran had already signed the contract.

Iran-Iraq: In violation of international conventions Iraqi official assures measures against PMOI

Adel Abdul Mahdi, Vice President of IraqNCRI – Iran-backed Vice President of Iraq assured Tehran of measures against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI).

In reference to the state of the PMOI in Iraq, the state-run Persian daily Javan quoted Adel Abdul Mahdi, Vice President of Iraq assuring the mullahs, “that this group will not stay in Iraq and we will expel them from Iraq and those people in this group who are found to have committed crimes will be brought to justice.”

Azadeh and Dr. Majid Roshani sitting in the panel NCRI - Tehran's increasing meddling in Iraq and the latest developments concerning the Iranian dissidents at Camp Ashraf was discussed in a meeting by the U.S. Committee for Camp Ashraf Residents (USCCAR) in Washington D.C. at the National Press Club on Wednesday, November 30.

USCCAR monitors and reports on the humanitarian status of the residents of Camp Ashraf, based in Diyala province northeast of Baghdad, Iraq. The camp belongs to the main Iranian opposition group, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran, and is currently under protection of the Multinational Forces - Iraq.
