PMOI, Iran opposition, spokesman denied detention of its members in Iraq, DPA reported PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - "The press spokesman for the People Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Ashraf camp denied detentions of members of Mojahedin Khalq", in Iraq, Deutsche Presse-Agentur, DPA reported on Saturday.

He told dpa: "This is a misinformation campaign by the Iranian regime against PMOI in Ashraf. We totally deny this claim, and all members of the Mojahedin are staying in Ashraf and protected by the US military."

"He said the Iranian regime had dispatched to Iraq some elements of the Qods force, which is considered a terrorist organization by the United States, to pursue this misinformation campaign", dpa added.

Iran: Workers strikes in Alborz (Kiyan) Tire factory PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - Workers have gone on strike over low pay and poor working conditions in a major tire manufacturing complex in Iran. The angry protestors burned tires on the factory grounds.

This is their second walkout since last week when the management promised to resolve the disputes over unpaid wages.

Iran: Second day of protests by Tehran University students NCRI - On Sunday, 1,500 students protested for the second day running in Tehran University campus. 

The protesters grew in number and their slogans were directed at the regime's leaders. The students shouted, "Death to dictator," "We don't want an autocratic rule, we don't want a suppressive police force," "Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is behind corruption and discrimination," and "Student dies but will not be humiliated."

Iran: Tehran University students protest continues for the second day PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - On Saturday, 1,500 Tehran University students protesting over the bad food at the cafeteria clashed with the State Security Forces (SSF). Ambulances were rushed to the scene, according to eyewitnesses.

More than 20 people were injured in clashes between the students shouting anti-regime slogans and the SSF who were forcing students to return to university campus, one eyewitness said.

Iran: SSF crackdown on Tehran University students PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - On Friday, nearly 1,000 Tehran University students clashed with the State Security Forces (SSF) over the bad food at the school cafeteria. Soon the event turned into an anti-government demonstration by the students gathering on the campus. They shouted slogans aimed at the clerical regime's officials including Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
