NCRI - In an unprecedented declaration, 1,000 students in Tehran's Alameh University called for expulsion of the president of the university for his mismanagement.
The students accused him of imposing a reign of terror and repression at the university where they are abused or beaten and those critical of the situation expelled from the university. |

NCRI - The Polytechnic (Amirkabir) University students protested against the mullahs' judiciary for detaining their fellow classmates today: Majid Tavakoli, Ahmad Qasaban, and Ehsan Mansouri. The participants in the student rally carried pictures of the three imprisoned students and chanted slogans, "Free all political prisoners," "Detained students must be freed," "Death to dictator," "Students are willing to die, but will not stand humiliation."

NCRI - On the World Day Against the Death Penalty, political prisoners in the mullahs' detention centers nationwide published an open letter. The call includes prisoners in the notorious Evin Prison, Gohardasht Prison, Central Prison in the northern city of Orumieh, Central Prison in the northeastern city of Birjand, Diesel Abad Prison in the western city of Kermanshah, Bandar Abbas and Ahwaz Prisons in the south Iran.
They announced a three days hunger strike to protest the new wave of executions in Iran.

NCRI - On Monday, the students in Qasvin University staged a gathering at university campus to protest the continuation of detention of Polytechnic University students.
They chanted slogans such as: "Political prisoners must be freed", "University is not a military base" and "Political security is our inalienable right".

NCRI - Iranian students opposing the mullahs' rule protested at Teheran University, Two weeks after Ahmadinejad addressed New York's Columbia University during a highly controversial visit to the United States for the UN General Assembly,.
"Why only in Columbia? We have questions too," read banners brandished by the students at Tehran University. The photo shows one such banner held by anti-Ahmadinejad protest on Monday in Tehran University prior to Ahmadinejad's speech for a hand picked group of government sponsored students.
