NCRI – Iranian regime arrests and tortures families of members of the main Iranian opposition group, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) for meeting their relatives in Iraq, the PMOI said in a statement on Tuesday, April 1.
In recent months, there have been widespread arrests of families of PMOI members who had visited their relatives in Ashraf City, home to thousands of members of PMOI in northeast of Baghdad, Iraq, the statement added. |

On the occasion of Nowrouz, the Iranian New Year, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, delivered a message to the Iranian people.
Excerpts of the address are as follow: Last year was truly one of advancement and pride for the Iranian people's Resistance on the one hand, and weakening and flagging for the mullahs' regime, on the other, which is indicative of the beginning of its implosion and ultimate overthrow. |

NCRI - On Friday, families of the victims of the 1988 massacre gathered in Khavaran Cemetery in Tehran to pay homage to their loved ones.
In the gathering, traditionally held on the last Friday of the Iranian year, the families delivered speeches, read poems and laid wreath to the unmarked graves of these martyrs. |

NCRI - Polling stations as of 12:00 noon in various parts of the country are widely boycotted.
In many places in Tehran including Masjed Ansar Al-Hossein in Tehranpars, Qasr T-junction, Abbass-Abad, Yaft Abad and most of northern Tehran suburbs are quiet and Motahari, Qods and Aeronautics schools have been used as polling stations. The number of voters in all these locations has not exceeded single digit number. |
