Commentary by U.S. Alliance for Democratic Iran Earlier in the week, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told the New York Post's editorial board that a stable Iraq will act as "a block" against Iran's growing regional ambitions, whereas an unstable Iraq will serve as "bridge" for Tehran. Secretary Rice's accurate observation was reflected in the President's remarks later in the week when he told an audience in Lancaster, PA, that standing firm in Iraq would send a crucial signal to ayatollahs while chaos and timidity "would embolden Iran."

It is extremely difficult to find the proper words to describe what really goes on in Iran. Mathematical concepts such as numbers and statistics have lost their true meanings when it comes to violation of human rights in Iran. On September 5, the Amnesty International was "appalled at the reports of the execution of 21 people." So far this year, more than 250 prisoners have been hanged which is more than double the figure in the same period last year according to the state-run media in Iran. |

Mullahs do not hesitate in spending oil dollars to expand their
ideology around the world. Not long ago there was a notion that they
might be limited to Islamic world. But soon it was proven that it is
not the case and the Islamic nations are not their only target.
Recently, according to information received from inside sources, more
than 2.8 billion dollars has been allocated to various entities
specialized in pursuing and expanding Islamic fundamentalism. The bulk
of these organizations, as it might be expected, are located in the
holy city of Qom where most of high ranking mullahs live.
