Danish MEP denounced insults by Swedish daily against Iranian opposition members PDF Print E-mail

NCRI (Stockholm) - Mr Mogens Camre, MEP from Denmark, on Saturday, November 24, in a speech in demonstration by thousands of Iranians residing in sweden, condemned the recent insults to members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MeK) based in Ashraf city (home to the members of the PMOI in Iraq) by the Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet.

"As a Scandinavian I believe that our press should be more responsible and should not repeat the allegations circulated by the mullahs' regime. ... The Iranian regime is making the best use of that article against the Iranian opposition. I think the most honourable thing is an apology to Ashraf members whose honour have been violated by such allegations.", Mr.  Camre said.

170 MPs call on UK government to adopt a new policy on Iran PDF Print E-mail

NCRI (London) - At a press conference organised by the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom in the House of Commons on Tuesday, cross-party Parliamentarians announced an initiative on behalf of about 170 MPs calling on Gordon Brown's government to adopt a new policy on Iran.

The parliamentarians announced that a large number of MPs had signed an Early Day Motion urging the Government to impose comprehensive diplomatic, arms, technological and oil sanctions against the Iranian regime. The EDM called for the December 2006 ruling of the European Court of Justice to be implemented by the UK Government and the EU insofar as delisting the main Iranian democratic opposition group, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI aka MeK).

The NCRI exposed specific information regarding the Revolutionary Guards - Qods Force's terrorist activities and networks in southern Iraq, particularly against British troops. Mr. Abedini revealed the names and positions of senior Qods Force commanders with responsibility in Iraq.

"Stop mullahs' appeasement now" - Iranians shouted outside EU Headquarters PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - As the EU foreign ministers met in Luxembourg yesterday to discuss measures against the mullahs' regime in face of its ongoing defiance of the UN Security Council resolutions, Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance held a rally outside the EU Headquarters to call for tough sanctions.

Protests in European capitals in support of the Iranian students PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - In a number of European capitals, Iranian exiles staged protests against executions and expressed solidarity with the student protests.

The rallies were organized by supporters of the main Iranian opposition, People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) to mark the World Day Against the Death Penalty.
