NCRI - National Council of Resistance of Iran held a press conference today, June 5, in Germany ahead of the G8 summit in the scenic Baltic resort of Heiligendamm. The press conference highlighted the latest attempts by the Mullahs' regime to acquire nuclear weapons and revealed the financial sources for the program and the latest tactics the Iranian regime is using to evade United Nation sanctions.

In this conference, held at the coastal city of Ostseebad Kuhlungsborn, near the summit gathering, Mr. Javad Dabiran and Mr. Shahin Ghobadi, members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NCRI, detailed various aspects of regime's nuclear program, and the progress it has made. They also presented reports on regime's nuclear activities.

NCRI - In a petition, more than 20,000 Danish people objected to clear disregard for the EU court verdict in removing People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the terror list.
The signatories of the petition which is growing include human rights and women's rights activists as well as politicians and academicians.

A copy of the petition of 20,000 Danish people was handed to the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Parliament and different parties in the country.

NCRI - More than 200 Iranians, supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), held a rally Thursday May 31 opposite No. 10 Downing Street in protest to the British government's policy of appeasement towards Tehran.

NCRI Foreign Affairs Committee member Hossein Abedini told the rally, "The mullahs, incapable of dealing with the growing opposition inside the country, view obtaining nuclear weapons and export of terror and fundamentalism abroad as the only means for their survival. That is why no amount of concessions and incentive packages will deter them from acquiring a nuclear bomb."

Copenhagen, (NCRI) - On Friday June 1st, a news conference sponsored by the "Committee of Danish Friends for a Free Iran" and "International Sakharov Committee" was held in the Danish Parliament. High ranking members of the Danish and British Parliaments as well as representatives of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Britain and Nordic Countries were present.

They supported the resolution by the European Committee of the Danish Parliament regarding the implementation of the European Court of Justice verdict in removal of the PMOI from the terrorist list.

NCRI - On Wednesday, May 30th 2007, a news conference was held in Brussels to describe the illegal action by the European Council of Ministers in maintaining the People's Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI) in the EU terrorist list. 

Mr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras, vice president of the European Parliament, Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chair of Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran and Mr. Jean-Pierre Spitzer, French attorney representing PMOI spoke in the conference.
