Call on Multi-National Force-Iraq, UN Secretary General and the ICRC to guarantee the security of Ashraf

NCRI - On Wednesday, August 20, hundreds of Iranians residing in Switzerland held a rally outside the headquarters of the United Nations Office in Geneva and warned about the plots and pressures of the clerical regime against Ashraf City (home to members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)). They urged the Multi-National Force-Iraq (MNF-I) and the US to counter these plots and to continue protecting the residents of Ashraf City.

NCRI - The mullahs' inhuman regime hanged 4 prisoners identified as Gole-Mohammad Salehzehi, Rahim Baranzehi, Lal-Mohammad Zainidini and Asadollah Eshaqzehi in the prison yard in the southeastern city of Zahedan, the state-run news agency Fars reported on Monday.

lion-sun-150NCRI - More than 200 protesting workers of Zarbaft Textile Factory of Kurdistan, early Monday morning, gathered outside social security office in the western city of Sanandaj.

The workers demanded their unpaid salaries and benefits. The State Security Forces (SSF) – mullahs' suppressive police – drove the protesters into a deserted corner of the building to isolate the event.

It also calls on the international community to fight the new wave of executions in Iran especially that of the political prisoners.

lion_sun_150NCRI - A group of local shopkeepers and their families protesting to repeated power outages which have hurt their businesses gathered outside the governor's office in the central city of Shahinshahr.

The demonstrators began their march toward governor's office passing through the Ferdosi Street, Shahinshahr's business area, on their way. Tow bus load full of members of special units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) blocked their way and tried to stop them from reaching their intended destination. The IRGC units fired tear gas into the crowd and beat up a number of the protesters.

NCRI - The mullahs' medieval regime hanged 29 people in a mass execution style in the notorious Evin prison on Sunday. Saeed Mortazavi, Mullahs’ infamous chief prosecutor of Tehran, blamed for the  murder of Iranian-Canadian photo-journalist Zahra Kazemi in 2003,  in an interview with the semi-official Fars news Agency, threatened to continue mass executions and said, "Judicial system is pleased to demonstrate its’ might and determination to the noble people of Iran."
