Iran: Five Prisoners hanged Print E-mail

Cruel sentences and degrading punishments handed down by the mullahs' Judiciary

NCRI - Five young men identified only as Morteza, 21; Hadi, 24; Javad, 24; Hossein, 19 and Mehdi, 24 were hanged in the central prison in the holy city of Qom, reported the state-run daily Iran on Monday.

The mullahs' judiciary did not stop at sentencing the five young men to execution by hanging; in addition, they were also sentenced to be thrown off a cliff.

Iran: Striking sugar cane factory workers marched Print E-mail

Suger Cane Factory Workers' ProtestNCRI - Striking workers of Sugar Cane Factory following a gathering outside the governor's office marched in the streets of the southwestern city of Shoosh. They have been on strike in the past seven days.

The marchers passed through the main streets chanting, "Incompetent manager must resign."

ImageWorkers called for dismissal of company’s director general, board of directors and company’s security chief.  They also demanded an end to false allegations and pursuit of labor activists.

NCRI - Thousands of state-owned Haft Tappeh Sugar Cane Company workers in southwestern Khuzistan province near the city of Shoush, have been protesting since Monday, demanding their unpaid wages for the past two months and also calling for an end to harassment of their co-workers by the company’s security office.

National Council of Resistance of IranNCRI - The student protests in Shariati, Vali-e-Asr and Shamsipour technical colleges in Tehran which began on Monday, May 5, led to violent clashes with State Security Forces (SSF). The suppressive forces encircled and brutally attacked students using clubs and batons in a bid to disperse them.

National Council of resistance of IranTwelve prisoners hanged in Bojnourd and Ahwaz
NCRI - On Sunday, the mullahs' inhuman regime hanged nine prisoners, one of them in public, in the northeastern city of Bojnourd, according to the state-run news agency Fars.

The prosecutor general for the province of North Khorasan requested the death penalty for 80 prisoners, nine of which were carried out in Bojnourd yesterday.

Workers' protest in IranNCRI - Thousands of deprived workers demonstrated against leaders of the Iranian regime on the anniversary of the international Labor Day.

Despite tight security, thousands of workers took to the streets on Wednesday to mark the occasion. Workers gathered from across the capital in Pounak District, west of Tehran, turning the event into an all out demonstration against ruling religious dictatorship. The Participants chanted slogans directed at Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

National Council of Resistance of IranNCRI - In the run-up to the international Labor Day, most of Iran's factories and workshops came under severe crackdown by the mullahs' regime.

Since the early days of the new Iranian year in the end of March, workers in dozens of Iranian factories and workshops have been suppressed by the government-run security apparatus. They were protesting over non-payment of their overdue salaries and benefits.

National Council of Resistance of IranFour prisoners hanged in Qum 
NCRI - The mullahs' inhuman regime hanged two prisoners identified only by their initials A.M. and K.N. in the central prison in holy city of Qum, reported the semiofficial news agency Fars on Wednesday.

Two prisoners identified as M.N. and Gh.A. were also hanged in the central city of Qum, reported Fars on 27 April.
