NCRI - On Friday, the mullahs' regime dispatched thousands of the State Security Forces (SSF)—mullahs' suppressive police -- to stop the memorial service held by the families of the victims of the 1988 massacre in Khavaran cemetery in suburban Tehran. A number of the participants were arrested.

Among those executed, there was a prisoner 15 at the time of the alleged crime and another was hanged for a crime allegedly he committed 19 years ago. The mullahs' inhuman regime hanged nine other prisoners in different cities throughout the country.

iran-women-police100NCRI - In a series of anti-government demonstrations in Marivan, western Iran, yesterday, protesters gathered outside the local Judiciary office and chanted slogans against the regime and its misogynist rules.

The protests sparked following the horrific murder of an 18-year-old girl identified as Fereshteh Nejati by her father. Such appalling crimes take place based on misogynist rules and encouraged by ruling clerics in Iran and it is spreading. In the meantime, the perpetrators of these crimes are formally and lawfully immune from any punishment.

Iran: More than 1,000 city railway workers walk out PDF Print E-mail

workers-iran150NCRI - More 1,000 city railway workers have been on strike since August 15 over their unpaid salaries in the past five months in the southwestern city of Ahwaz.

Workers at the north and south yard depots of the railway have been waiting for a definitive answer from their government appointed management. However, it is refusing to give in to the workers' demands.

NCRI - On Wednesday, August 20, hundreds of Iranians residing in Switzerland held a rally outside the headquarters of the United Nations Office in Geneva and warned about the plots and pressures of the clerical regime against Ashraf City (home to members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)). They urged the Multi-National Force-Iraq (MNF-I) and the US to counter these plots and to continue protecting the residents of Ashraf City.

The workers demanded their unpaid salaries and benefits. The State Security Forces (SSF) – mullahs' suppressive police – drove the protesters into a deserted corner of the building to isolate the event.

It also calls on the international community to fight the new wave of executions in Iran especially that of the political prisoners.
