NCRI - This evening, June 16, suppressive forces attacked demonstrators in front of the state radio and television station with batons and daggers while they were leaving the place, wounding and arresting a large number of them.

Since 6:00 pm, some 20,000 people of Tehran staged a protest in front of state radio and television station. This gathering that lasted several hours was silent and without any slogans.

Uprising by youths and students in Babol, Babolsar, Amol, Qazvin, Ahwaz and Bandar Abbas
NCRI - Some 3,000 students and locals protested in Babol late on Monday. The protest began at 9:00 pm and continued until after the midnight. Many banks and government buildings were seriously damaged. Agents of the State Security Force (SSF) and special anti-riot forces, and plainclothes agents attacked the demonstrators and arrested a number of the students. Suppressive forces used water cannons to disperse the crowd. A number of motorcycles belonging to the suppressive forces were set on fire. At least 100 people have in recent days been arrested in Babol, Amol and Babolsar.

NCRI - A sit-in by students from the Tehran University in protest to the brutal suppression of fellow students, in particular during the recent dormitory raid, continues in the university mosque. Farhad Rahbar, an agent who was appointed by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as dean of the university attempted to join the students in order to prevent any escalation of their actions, but his presence was met with further protests. Agents of the Revolutionary Guards late on Sunday raided the university dormitory and assaulted and arrested many of the students.

NCRI - Protests and clashes between people and agents of the State Security Force (SSF) in Tehran which began in the afternoon on Monday continued till late hours (local time in Tehran).NCRI - Protests and clashes between people and agents of the State Security Force (SSF) in Tehran which began in the afternoon on Monday continued till late hours (local time in Tehran).

The regime has deployed agents of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, paramilitary Bassij, Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), State Security Force (SSF), and plain-clothes personnel throughout the capital. Angry people are chanting “death to the dictator” and seeking the overthrow of the mullahs’ regime and establishment of democracy in Iran.
