Iran: A prisoner whipped in public while two others sentenced to death PDF Print E-mail

Another prisoner indentified as Hassan Molaii was whipped in public in the Khomeini Square in the eastern city of Tabas.

Iran: Workers demonstrate in Ahwaz over pays PDF Print E-mail

workers_protest_iran_150NCRI – More than 300 workers of the Rolling and Pipes Mill Corporation (ARPCO) demonstrated in the streets of the southwestern city of Ahwaz on Sunday. The workers demanded their unpaid salaries for past six months.
 
While shouting "Death to injustice," the protesters start their march from Chahar-Shir Square to Naderi intersection passing through busy downtown streets.

Iran: Citizens are not allowed to freely choose names for new born babies PDF Print E-mail

Image of an Iranian birth certificate NCRI – Mohammadreza Ayatollahi, head of the mullahs' Bureau of Vital Statistics (BVS) said 330,000 citizens chose the name "Abulfazel" for their male new born babies last year.

"In pervious years, 'Mohammad' was the most popular name for baby boys," Aytollahi said.

Iran: Two prisoners hanged in Arak and Borujerd PDF Print E-mail

iran_executions_150NCRI – The mullahs' inhuman regime hanged a prisoner identified only by his initials Z.K. in the central city of Arak, the official daily Kayhan reported on Wednesday.

Kayhan reported another man named Ali Sadeqi hanged in the western city of Borujerd also on Wednesday.
