NCRI - "The time has come to adopt a new policy towards Iran. The time has come for all of us to follow 1000 thousands elected representatives of citizens and to support Mrs. Rajavi and the Iranian Resistance in their fight to bring about democracy in Iran," said Piia-Noora Kauppi, Finnish Member of the European Parliament.

She was addressing an International Conference, entitled "A call for Justice," simultaneous with the EU Summit in Brussels on March 8. The President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, as well as dozens of parliamentarians, jurists and personalities took part in the conference.

According to the Court, the PMOI has never been lawfully on the terrorist list. They are not lawfully on the list now. Therefore, Council assertion that it intends to keep PMOI on the list is totally illegal.
 
Therefore, we are here today firstly to demand from the Council to stop its defiance of the Court decision.
 
Secondly, we are here to demand from the Council to comply with the Court and remove the PMOI from the terrorist list.
 
Thirdly we are here to say to the Council that it is not respecting the rule of law and justice and the basic values why it was created. No one, no organization or individual should be asked to provide proof for his or her innocence. Burden of proof is in this kind of situation in the government side. And there is no proof, absolutely zero proof that the PMOI would be linked to terrorist acts.

Fourth, we are here to tell the Council that their policy is wrong. They should end the policy of appeasement because it has failed.
