Day 8 of Protest in London PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 01 April 2007

NCRI - For the eighth day, Iranians in London, sympathizers of the Iranian Resistance gathered in front of the UK Foreign Office to condemn the illegal position of the British government in insisting on maintaining the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran on the terror list, while the European Court of Justice ruled on 12 December that it had to be removed from the black list.

Demonstrators called the British government to abide by the rule of law and implement the courts ruling.

In their slogans, protestors underlined that the hostage taking of British sailors was a direct result of the appeasement policy pursued with the mullah's regime. They urged the British government to put an end to this policy and formally cut ties with the religious dictatorship.

Demonstrators pointed to the third option proposed by Maryam Rajavi, the President- Elect of the Iranian Resistance. This third option is an Iranian solution to an Iranian crisis, the only viable option. It translates as no foreign war and no appeasement, but democratic change by the Iranian people and their resistance movement.
