Iranian resistance condemns the meeting of Solana and Larijani PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 24 April 2007

The Iranian resistance strongly condemns the meeting between Javier Solana and Ali Larijani. This meeting will only provide more time to the mullahs ruling Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. It would be yet another step in the direction of failed and despicable policy of appeasement vis-à-vis the religious fascism ruling Iran.

Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said: "These futile negotiations, at a time when the clerical regime defies UN Security Council Resolutions one after the other, will only encourage the clerical regime to expand and expedite its nuclear program."

The medieval tyranny ruling Iran, incapable of dealing with growing opposition of Iranian people, views obtaining nuclear weapons and export of terrorism and fundamentalism as the only means for its survival. It will not give up this policy by negotiations, leniency or incentive packages.

Preventing the mullahs' regime from obtain nuclear weapons is possible by adoption of a firm policy by international community and by putting aside the policy of appeasement with all of its consequences.

A firm policy would include the imposition of comprehensive technological, military, diplomatic and oil embargo on the clerical regime and by removing obstacles that EU has created for change in Iran, the most important of which is the inclusion of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran in the EU terror list and the refusal to remove the PMOI from the watch list despite the clear ruling of the EU Court of Justice in annulling the designation.
