NCRI - Dozens of Iranians gathered outside the British Foreign Office in London on Thursday to protest the continued refusal of the British government to remove the name of the People's Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI) from the terrorist list.

Lord King of West Bromwich from Tony Blair's ruling Labour Party and Malcolm Fowler, member of the British Law Society's human rights committee, addressed the rally which is now on its 26th day.

The Iranians, many of whom held banners and waved tri-colour flags, were all supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

"I would like to add my support to your struggle for justice. I know you have been protesting here for some time," Lord King told the protestors.

"Britain is the world's oldest democracy. It is undemocratic, however, for it to break the law by refusing to remove the PMOI from the list," he said. "We in the British Parliament are working to ensure the rights of the Iranian Resistance are respected."

Mr. Fowler, a former head of the Birmingham Law Society, told the crowd, "What the British government is doing by keeping the PMOI in the list is absolutely illegal. We have got the ruling of the European Court of First Instance, so they cannot keep the PMOI in the list."

"Iran, Rajavi; Rajavi, Iran", the Iranians chanted after an Iranian activist read out a statement by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, regarding the recent student demonstrations in Iran.
Demonstrators in London insisted that the rally would continue indefinitely until the EU abided by the recent verdict of the European Court of Justice.

In an unambiguous verdict on 12 December 2006, the European Court annulled the EU's decision to blacklist the PMOI.
The majority of British Parliamentarians have called on the EU to de-list the PMOI.

At a debate in Parliament on Wednesday, several lawmakers including Andrew Mackinlay MP (Labour) called on the British government to abide by the European Court verdict and remove the PMOI from the terror list.
