NCRI - A new wave of brutal executions in response to the recent popular
uprisings has begun in Iran. According to state-run news outlets in
only three days seven prisoners were hanged. Four people identified as
Mohsen, Abdolreza, Esmail, and Mohsen were hanged in Tehran. The
mullahs' henchmen hanged two others in Hasarak and Fardis, two suburban
townships in the central city of Karaj. The last prisoner was hanged in
the northern city of Gorgan. (reported by daily Etemaad on June 14 and
IRNA on June 10, June 13).
The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Secretary General and the Security Council to condemn the arbitrary executions carried out by the Iranian regime, and implement immediate and binding measures against the brutal and systematic human rights violations in Iran.
