NCRI - Iranian students opposing the mullahs' rule protested at Teheran
University, Two weeks after Ahmadinejad addressed New York's Columbia
University during a highly controversial visit to the United States for
the UN General Assembly,.
"Why only in Columbia? We have
questions too," read banners brandished by the students at Tehran
University. The photo shows one such banner held by anti-Ahmadinejad
protest on Monday in Tehran University prior to Ahmadinejad's speech
for a hand picked group of government sponsored students.
Despite the crackdown by the suppressive security forces the protest took place at the university.
Mrs. Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian resistance praised the
student protest and added that the Tehran University students foiled
the clerical regime's plot to cover up the fiasco of the trip of
Ahmadinejad to New York and his speech in Columbia University.
Presence of a large number of Guards, Bassij and agents of the MOIS in
the area of the university and formation of a defense line by the SSF
in front of the main entrance of the Tehran University, only reveals
the fear of the faltering regime, in particular the youths seeking to
overthrow the clerical regime.
