Iranian regime bomb attack on power station an inhumane act - Iraqi TV PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 12 February 2008
NCRI - Iraqi Political parties and parliamentarians condemned the bombing of the water pumping station of the Ashraf City, home to the members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), located in Diyala province,  Iraqi TV Channel al-Rafidain TV reported on Sunday.

"The crime is in clear violation of Iraq's sovereignty and security which has stemmed from the inaction in respect with the Iranian regime's meddling in Iraq," the report added.

"The bomb attack on Ashraf's power station is not the first of its kind by the Iranian regime against its main opposition, the PMOI.  This power station has been attacked at least twice before. The last attack took place in summer of 2006.  The damages were repaired by the PMOI members with the help of local residents.

"The villagers living in the surrounding areas of Ashraf City have cooperated with the members of the PMOI to keep the water flowing to more than 20,000 inhabitants of the area.

"This criminal action that deprives over 20,000 of their water supply can only be defined as inhumane crimes committed by the master minds known to everyone in the area.

"This crime is in lined with the restrictions imposed by the Iranian regime and the present Iraqi government on the residents of the Ashraf City."
