Sample ImageNCRI - largest cache of Iranian made armor-piercing roadside bombs known as explosively formed penetrators (EFP) has been found in south of Baghdad, said a US military statement on Sunday.

Iraqi troops acting on a tip Wednesday found more than 1,000 EFP bomb components in a 6-ton truck in a garage in the town of Qassim, said the statement.

The military says that the cache included more than 3,000 pounds (1,360 kilograms) of explosives, multiple 107 mm rockets and stands along with other munitions.

The statement says the cache has been moved to the nearby city of Hillah, which is about 95 kilometers (60 miles) south of Baghdad.

In another development Multi-National Force-Iraq reported on Sunday that Iraqi Police detained two Iranian linked terrorists preparing three Iranian-made rockets for an attack south of Baghdad April 2.

The arrests were made following the information provided by Iraqi citizens, the report said.
