NCRI – In an interview with EuroNews on April 25, Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran dismissed Iran regime's election as a farce.

"In a religious dictatorship, parliamentary elections have no meaning," she said. "Khamenei and Ahmadinejad have prepared everything to create a parliament entirely favorable to their goals, that is to say, obtaining the atomic bomb." She added.

Iran's polls branded "farce" by exiled opposition

Iran's exiled opposition has dismissed the country's elections as a farce.

Maryam Radjavi heads the political wing of the Iranian People's Mujahideen Organisation. She has been visiting Strasbourg, in a bid to get the group taken off an EU terror blacklist. And, speaking to EuroNews, she did not mince her words about the polling process in Iran or the Islamic Republic's leaders.

"In a religious dictatorship, parliamentary elections have no meaning," she said.

"Khamenei and Ahmadinejad have prepared everything to create a parliament entirely favourable to their goals, that is to say, obtaining the atomic bomb."

Expelled from Iran, the People's Mujahideen Organisation is campaigning to be removed from both the EU's and Washington's terror blacklists.
The group maintains it has renounced violence.
