Suger Cane Factory Workers' ProtestNCRI - Striking workers of Sugar Cane Factory following a gathering outside the governor's office marched in the streets of the southwestern city of Shoosh. They have been on strike in the past seven days.

The marchers passed through the main streets chanting, "Incompetent manager must resign."

The local residents, in particular the youths, supported the demonstrating workers and joined their rally. Cars blew their horns as a sign of sympathy for the marchers.

When members of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), in a failed attempt, tried to take pictures and films of the participants, they resisted the move and forced out the MOIS agents from the area.

The State Security Forces (SSF) --mullahs' suppressive police -- backed up the security agents by attacking the workers.

More Than 5,000 sugar cane factory workers walked out over their unpaid wages and imposed restrictions by the security forces on the worker activists.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all labor organizations, unions and in particular the International Labor Organization (ILO) to condemn the clerical regime's anti-labor policies and suppression of workers and demands support for workers just demand.
