Monday, 02 June 2008

NCRI- The students at the School of Education in Pardis, Karaj (40 kilametes west of the capital) held a gathering outside of the school's cafeteria shouting anti govenment slogans.

The protesters chanted, “Students will die but never be humiliated” and “Guns, tanks, Harasat[members of the security], are no longer effective”.

The angry students carried placards and banners reading, “Dean of Students Affiars must resign ”, “Dean of Extra Curricular Activities must resign ”, “Gender segregation in outdoor activities is insulting to students” and “Hollow promises are no longer effective”.

The protest in  the  School of Education started mainly to complain the poor condition of  university services,  however it rapidly turned into an anti-government demonstration.
