Iranian truckNCRI - More than 300 truck drivers protesting to the police corruption by demanding kickbacks from them blocked Tehran-Jajroud highway.

Truckers blocked Tehran-Jajroud highway in protest to police corruptions. The participating drivers explained to vehicles stopping that the police was allowed only to intervene when a crime was in the making or to issue tickets for traffic violations. However, they [police] stop us on the road and demand bribes for something they made up as traffic violations.

The demonstration by the truckers lasted until 3 a.m. on Friday.

In recent months with prices of all goods sky rocking in the country, and corrupt managements, citizens of various professions go on strike.
