Iran: Political Prisoner Ali Moezzi Transferred to Fashafouyeh Forced Camp and Call to Save Him

ncri-statement-400

The Iranian Resistance warns about the risk to the life of political prisoner Ali Moezzi and calls on all international human rights organizations, particularly the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief and the Working Group on arbitrary arrests to take immediate and effective measures to address his situation who has been sent to exile to Fashafouyeh prison.

On Monday, May 1, Mr. Moezzi suddenly was transferred from solitary confinement in ward 209 of Evin Prison to Fashafouyeh prison in Hassan Abad in southern Tehran. His sentence by the Judiciary of the very same regime was completed two years ago but the henchmen have kept him in prison by making new cases against him and continue to torture and harrass him.
The anti-human regime of the mullahs uses the Fashafouyeh prison as a forced labor camp for exiling political prisoners and transferring Mr. Moezzi, 66, to this prison is for torturing him to death. Due to years of imprisonment and torture, he suffers from a variety of diseases including cancer and intestine blockage.

Sohrab Soleimani, brother of Revolutionay Guard Qassem Soleimani, has launched this prison which lacks the minimum requirements to put pressure on prisoners. Patients are transferred to the infirmary that lacks the minimum facilities, if they are dying. While there are 10 beds in each of the wards of this prison, 70 prisoners are stacked on top of each other and others rest on the floor in dire physical conditions. The water of this prison is continually interrupted.
