"Youtube will remain banned, and the working group in charge of Internet filtering has no plan to remove the filtering," stated the official in charge of determining Internet filtering in Iran.

Abdul-Samad Khorram-Abadi, secretary of the Committee for Determining Criminal Web Content, said there are no plans to lift the current ban on the popular social network, the state-run Mehr News Agency reported on Monday. He said that although banned some users have access to Youtube in Iran due to some technical bugs in the regime's filtering system.

He said the committee has warned the state-run Telecommunication Infrastructure Company in Iran to resolve the problem.
