Qom regime official admits Khamenei is despised by residents

Qom MullaNCRI – The Iranian regime’s Friday prayers leader in Qom said on Saturday that the city’s residents have “insulted” the clerical regime, its leader and values, according to the state-run Channel 2 TV.

Mullah Saeedi made the comments as the regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was continuing a hasty visit to the city.

He referred to last year’s popular uprising in Iran and said, “It was unprecedented for people in Qom to insult the establishment and its leader to such a degree.”

He added, “They wanted to form the antithesis and counter-revolutionary [forces], as His Excellency has said, and to later infect other parts of the country with it.”

Meanwhile, two mullahs at the Qom seminary have revealed that the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom strongly criticized Khamenei for his support for the mullahs’ President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Last year, in the midst of nationwide protests in Iran against the clerical regime, youths and protestors in Qom chanted slogans against Khamenei at the city’s holy sites, including “Khamenei is a murderer, his rule is illegitimate.”
