In Tehran's Friday prayers sermon Jannati demands the execution of Mojahedin political prisoners
Mullah Ahmad Jannati, head of the clerical regime’s Guardian Council,
demanded in today's Friday prayers sermon the speedy implementation of
execution sentences handed down to political prisoners, in particular
members of the People's Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI).

A 17-year-old boy will be hanged in Isfahan on Saturday morning
The state-run Iran daily reported today that a father and his
17-year-old son have been sentenced to death. Moussa Ali-Mohammadi will
be hanged in public in Isfahan, central Iran, on Saturday, and his
17-year-old Rasoul will be simultaneously hanged in Isfahan prison.
Both prisoners will receive 74 lashes before being hanged.

Iranian Resistance calls on Australian government to suspend the
expulsion of Iranian refugees to Iran under mullahs' dictatorship
More than 500 human rights and refugees rights activists,
representatives of Australia's teachers' federations, and Iranians
residing in Sydney held a demonstration in front of Villawood detention
centre southwest of the city, condemning the maltreatment and expulsion
of Iranian asylum seekers to Iran under the mullahs' rule. |

The city of Mahabad in western Iran has been placed under de facto
martial law after three days of unrest and extensive clashes between
residents and security forces. Anti-government protests were also
reported in the nearby city of Marivan, on the Iran-Iraq border.

The Iranian regime's Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence
against a 29-year-old political prisoner in Iran, making his execution
imminent.
Hojjat Zamani, a member of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran
(PMOI) has been in jail since the year 2000. After being brutally
tortured in the notorious Evin Prison, Hojjat escaped and managed to
flee to Turkey. But he was arrested and turned over to agents of the
Ministry of Intelligence and Security, the mullahs' dreaded secret
police. Hojjat was brought back to Iran and once again subjected to
torture.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, called
on the international community and the Canadian government to take
practical steps against the mullahs' regime for the gruesome murder of
Canadian journalist Zahra Kazemi. Her statement came after a press
conference Friday by Canadian Foreign Minister Pierre Pettigrew, in
which he talked about new revelations of the torture and rape of Kazemi
while she was being held in Tehran's notorious Evin Prison.

Iranians from across Germany gathered in Berlin on May 9 in a
Convention for Democratic Change in Iran, Supporting Maryam Rajavi.
The clerical regime had conspired against the convention and resorted
to spreading rumors such as claiming that a bomb was planted in the
convention hall to prevent it from taking place. The vigilance of the
organizers and steadfastness of the participants, however, foiled the
mullahs' efforts. |

trial of Iranian official accused of assassinating Iranian Resistance
representative in Italy
Maryam Rajavi calls for an international tribunal to try Khamenei,
Rafsanjani and Khatami for terrorist attacks by the mullahs' regime
The Criminal Court of Rome began this morning the trial in absentia of
an official of the Iranian regime accused of being one of the killers
of Mohammad Hossein Naghdi, the representative of the National Council
of Resistance of Iran in Italy, on March 16, 1993.

Khamenei's senior adviser and former Foreign Minister acknowledges clerical regime's responsibility in terrorist attacks abroad
The Iranian Resistance calls on the UN Security Council to carry out an
immediate review of the Iranian regime's 450 terrorist operations abroad
Ali-Akbar Velayati, Khamenei's senior adviser and the ruling mullahs'
former Foreign Minister, who is also a candidate in the forthcoming
presidential elections, acknowledged the responsibility of the ruling
clerical dictatorship for terrorist operations abroad against its

Teachers in Tehran and across Iranian towns and cities continue their
protests and strikes because of harsh living conditions and low
salaries, despite pressure by the mullahs' regime.
Yesterday, more than 1,000 teachers demonstrated outside the mullahs'
Majlis in Baharestan Square for the third consecutive day. Suppressive
agents of the State Security Forces, under the command of Col. Massoud
Jafari, beat up and arrested a number of demonstrators. To identify and
harass the teachers demonstrating, agents of the Ministry of
Intelligence and Security filmed the teachers. |
