The Organization of Iranian-American Communities-US (OIACUS) held a Congressional briefing in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday, January 24.

OIAC's policy statement was also unveiled at the event, which featured speeches from bi-partisan members of Congress and leaders of Iranian-American communities.

OIAC's recommendations on U.S. Iran policy for the new administration welcomed congressional measures to sanction the Iranian regime's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), which controls most of Iran’s economy.

Diminishing IRGC influence and reach “would weaken this prominent pillar of Iran’s religious dictatorship,” it said.
