Iran: Sunni political prisoners barred from visiting family members

NCRI – in the latest crackdown on Sunni and Kurdish political prisoners the Iranian regime’s authorities in Gohardasht Prison in the city of Karaj have prohibited them from having family visits.

The head of the prison, Mohammad Mardani, told the Sunni prisoners that they would not be allowed to visit their family members until further notice and their families had been informed of the ban.

Iran - Video: Police attacks Isfahan residents protesting acid attacks

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s State Security Forces (police) attacked the residents of Isfahan protesting against the recent wave of acid attacks by gangs affiliated to the clerical regime in Iran.

The protester shouted saying “the police splashes acid on our faces and as we protest they attack us.”

Iran: Prisoner hanged after six years on death row

NCRI – The authorities in a prison in a northern city of Iran hanged a young man after he had been on death row for six years.

The 35-year-old prisoner was executed on Wednesday (October 22, 2014) in a prison in Amol – a city in the northern Mazandaran province.

NCRI - Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, hailed the people of Isfahan and Tehran for demonstrating to protest the anti-human crime by mullahs’ regime against women and called on all Iranians, especially women and youth, to join the national movement in defense of Iranian women. The faltering mullahs’ regime, engulfed in internal and external crises, is trying to avert the explosion of people’s wrath by resorting to these heinous crimes and creating an atmosphere of terror and fear, she said.
