Human rights 'non-existent in Iran, group warns

Human rights have not just been abused, but are 'virtually non-existent in President Hassan Rouhani's Iranian regime, the Friends of a Free Iran in the European Parliament have declared.

There have been at least 1,100 executions during his 15 months in office - more than in any similar period in the past 25 years, the group said.

UN nuclear agency dismisses Iran regime offer to access a site

The U.N. atomic watchdog dismissed on Thursday an offer by the Iranian regime of access to a region where explosives experiments of possible use in nuclear weapons development may have taken place, saying this did not address its concerns.

The Iranian regime told a board meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency last month it would let IAEA inspectors visit the western Marivan.

Iran's jailed Sunnis condemn hangings and rights abuses

Sunni Muslims jailed in Iran have issued an International Human Rights Day message condemning the death sentences on 30 fellow prisoners and widespread violations of their rights.

The 81 Sunnis in Gohardasht prison in city of Karaj said they had been tried without lawyers in the Tehran’s Revolutionary Court and that the public had been banned from the hearing.

Iran loses right to stage Asian Volleyball championship

Iran's hosting of Asian Men's Volleyball Championship has been cancelled, the Iranian Volleyball Federation has acknowledged.

The prestigious men's event will instead be held in Taipei in August, and the 1st Asian Men's U23 Championship will be held Nay Pyi Taw city in Myanmar in May, the Asian Volleyball Federation has ruled.

Two Afghans killed in Syria buried in Iran

The bodies of two young Afghans, killed while fighting for the Syrian dictator, were buried on Tuesday in Iran.

The state-run news agency IRNA identified the two as Ramazan Mirzaei and Feizallah Khoda-dady, but claimed they were killed while defending sacred places in Syria.

Amid Human Rights Day, 10 more executions in Iran

On Sunday, December 7, four prisoners are reported to have been executed in the Central Prison in the city of Zahedan, capital of the Sistan Baluchestan province in southeastern Iran.

The news of these executions have not been published by the regime.

Reports from Iran also indicate that another seven prisoners have been hanged in the courtyard of Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad (the second largest city of Iran in the north). These seven prisoners were hanged on Wednesday, December 3.
