French mayors have met in Paris to condemn religious extremism and give their support to the Iranian Resistance.

The meeting attended by Iranian Resistance leader Maryam Rajavi on November 25 brought together mayors from across France to show their commitment to the struggle for freedom and democracy in Iran.

Jean-François Legaret, mayor of Paris's 1st Arrondissment, said: "We, the mayors of France, have solidarity with Maryam Rajavi and the cause of democracy in Iran.  We have a duty to speak out against the threat of Islamic fundamentalism and against the religious dictatorship in Iran seeking to acquire nuclear weapons.

The four - named as Hamed Ahmadi, Kamal Molai, Jamshid Dehghani and Djahanguir Dehghani - have written an open letter protesting at the abuses, torture and lies by regime officials since their arrest.

They wrote on November 27: "We were arrested in 2009 and accused of preaching in favor of Sunni Islam. We were placed in isolation and suffered unbearable torture. The trial court sentenced us to death.

The price of bread is to be increased by 30 per cent in Iran in the latest example of soaring inflation within the regime.

The government approved the price increase earlier this month and the cost of bread was set to go up on November 22.

The legislation approved on November 5 says: "The price of all types of bread will increase to a maximum of 30 percent to compensate for the increase in the cost of wheat and an increase in other costs for the bakeries and bread factories during the past two years, in comparison with the official approved pricing."

Khamenei’s contradictory remarks show Iranian regime’s deadlock on nuclear talks

The day after the November 24 deadline for a comprehensive nuclear agreement between P5+1 and the Iranian regime was extended for seven months, the regime’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei delivered his first remarks on the negotiations, saying that the West had failed to bring his regime “to its knees.”

Addressing a group of clerics in Tehran, Khamenei, who has the final say on all important state matters, dismissed the diplomatic and economic pressure that forced his regime to make a slight political retreat by signing the interim agreement in Nov 2013, a basis for the negations that are still ongoing.

Brent crude oil hits 4-year low

Brent crude oil touched a fresh four-year low on Friday, knocking down both energy-related shares and currencies, after the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)'s move not to cut output reinforced prospects of a worldwide oil supply glut.

The drop includes several factors but the most immediate one is considered to be Thursday’s decision by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries at their meeting in Vienna to not cut production, according to the Washington Post.
