Iran Student Day protests: ‘Free political prisoners’

NCRI - Iranian students held protests and gatherings on Sunday in universities across Iran marking Student Day, known locally as 16 Azar (December 7).

In fear of student protests in Tehran, the clerical regime cancelled Hassan Rouhani’s scheduled program at Tehran University.

Iranian regime delivers heavy artillery to Houthi rebels in Yemen – report

Shipments of heavy weapons have been delivered to Houthi rebels in Yemen via the Red Sea, informed sources told Arabic language daily Asharq Al-Awsat.

The anonymous sources told Asharq Al-Awsat that cargos of weapons sent by Iran arrived in Yemen through the ports of Midi and Houdayda.

Iran: Solidarity with Kurdish political prisoners on hunger strike

NCRI - In several cities across Iran, political prisoners expressed their solidarity with the Kurdish political prisoners on hunger strike in the prison of Orumieh (capital of the province of West Azerbaijan, situated in north western Iran).

According to reports, in solidarity with them, political prisoners held in other cities have also begun a hunger strike.

Iran: 12 million people suffer from hunger - Minister

Some 12 million Iranians are living in poverty according to a senior official of the Iranian regime. This is their first public admission to extensive hunger in the oil rich country.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs said poverty is assessed based on the three indices of revenue, appropriate health and education services, reported the state-run Mehr news agency on December 5.

Joe Biden: There is a "less than even shot" of a nuclear deal with Iran

Speaking at Brookings Institution forum on the Middle East, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said on Saturday there was a "less than even shot" of a nuclear deal with Iran.

“We will not let Iran acquire a nuclear weapon -- period," he said. "End of discussion. Not on our watch."
