Most Areas Lack Water and Electricity a Week After the Quake

Earthquake in Iran – No. 4

A week after the deadly earthquake in Iran’s western regions, people are still lacking even minimum supplies. Many villages still have no tents, food, water and electricity. The Iranian regime, known for stealing and plundering the people, has left the quake-stricken residents in the winter cold under the rubbles. This has resulted in increasing public hatred.

A helicopter pilot in Fort Abuzar of Sarpol-e Zahab said the following about what he witnessed flying over the earthquake stricken region: “We saw many scenes… different from what you are seeing on [state TV]… the catastrophe we witnessed is far worse and expanded than what is shown on [state TV] or on the internet. What I’m witnessing is people providing aid, and state relief efforts are very weak.”

A Regime's Member of Parliament: More Than 1,000 People Have Died, People Are Hungry, They Do Not Have a Tent

Earthquake in Iran- No. 3

• AFP News Agency: Most of the aid that was distributed among the people belonged to private individuals

• Obstruction in the distribution of popular aid and theft by repressive forces

Remarks by the regime’s MP from Kermanshah, Ahmad Safari, 72 hours after the earthquake, is a clear confession to the fact that the only thing that does not matter to the corrupt and criminal leaders of the regime is the suffering of the people. On Wednesday November 15, after visiting the Sarepol-e-Zahab, Qasr Shirin and Salas Babajani, Safari said: "This is the Day of Resurrection. More than 1,000 people died.... I went to a village where they said they had buried 20 people on the first day. These people are not included in the death toll. In just one alley in Sarepol-e-Zahab, 70 people were killed. More than 250 people died in Mehr housing.

Iran: Mullahs' Priority Is to Cover up Dimensions of Disaster and Prevent Popular Protests in Quake Hit Areas

Earthquake in Iran-no.2

The clerical regime and its criminal officials, without paying attention to the pain of the poor and homeless people, have tried to cover up the dimensions of the disaster, and, on the other hand, to suppress the formation of social protests and popular anger and disgust through suppressive measures. Immediately after the earthquake, Khamenei sent the IRGC commander Mohammad Ali Jafari and deputy commander of the Basij Ali Fazli to the earthquake areas. Instead of sending aid convoys and deploying forces to help people, the Revolutionary Guards and the repressive forces have sent a column of vehicles of anti-insurgency units and IRGC motorcycles to the area, which sparked outrage and disgust among the people. According to eyewitnesses, the IRGC has played no role in helping the people, and its only mission is to prevent popular protests.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, expressed her condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in the last night earthquake in different areas, including Qasr-e Shirin, Islamabad, Sar-e pol Zahab, Salas Babajani and Kerend.

Reiterating the criminal background of the mullahs’ regime’s neglect and irresponsibility to save the people’s lives in such incidents, Mrs. Rajavi asked the youth, especially those in western provinces, to rescue the people who are trapped under debris, and to deliver their aids directly to the stricken people and the injured. She added that just opposite to the Velayat-e faqih regime, it is now a time of solidarity, and helping the stricken people and saving them is a sacred national duty.

Five Days After the U.S. New Policy, Khamenei Appears at the Scene

Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the clerical regime, took a position five days after the announcement of the US administration’s new policy against the clerical regime and the terrorist designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). Ridiculously claiming that "We do not want to waste our time ... by responding to the President of the United States," he tried to conceal his own and his regime’s alarm. He warned the regime's officials, however, that "We should not remain ignorant of the enemy's plot and conspiracy,… because there are issues whose importance is not less than war" He accused “some officials” of the regime of “negligence” and of being "influenced by the West," saying if they mean what they say, they are "traitors.”
