Tech giant Microsoft said that Iranian hackers have caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damages after attacking systems, businesses and governments around the world over the past two years.

U.S. President Donald Trump pulled out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) as it is formally known, in 2018. Going into the summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, many thought that U.S. President Donald Trump was going to ensure that a deal was made. It was not the case.

During the subsequent press conference, Trump explained his reasons for walking away without a deal, explaining that North Korea was essentially demanding that sanctions are lifted in their entirety. He said: “They were willing to denuke a large portion of the areas that we wanted, but we couldn’t give up all of the sanctions for that. (...) We had to walk away from that.”
