A conference was held by the International Federation of Women in Legal Careers (FIFCJ) from November 14 to 17, 2016, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Prominent jurists and legal experts from North America, Latin America, Africa, and Europe participated in this conference. A delegation from the Women's Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran was also invited to the conference. Participants in the conference, discussed and examined the reasons for inequality in different countries, from legal and practical standpoints. They also addressed women's basic rights and different legal solutions for their problems. Maryam Rajavi sent a message and lauded the FIFCJ initiative for holding the conference.
A New Year celebration was held on January 8, 2017, at Auvers-sur-Oise with political personalities and elected representatives of France as well as French supporters of the Iranian Resistance attending.

A conference was held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Victor Hugo Hall of the French National Assembly to address "Middle East Developments, French and European Approaches."
Maryam Rajavi was the key-note speaker. A number of members of the French Parliament including Dominique Lefebvre, Michel Terrot, Brigitte Allain, Pascal Deguilhem, Philippe Gosselin, and Federic Reiss, as well as Amb. Lincoln Bloomfield, former Assistant US Secretary of State, and Dr. Alejo Vidal Quadras, former Vice President of the European Parliament, also addressed the conference.

Simultaneous with the international conference on the occasion of the International Women's Day in Tirana, Albania, an elaborate photo exhibition was put on display on the history of 150 years of Iranian women's struggle for freedom.
After visiting the exhibition, Maryam Rajavi made brief remarks, lauding Iranian women's struggle. She paid tribute to the pioneering women who gave their lives for Iran's freedom and laid flowers at a monument dedicated to them.

NCRI - Making her address for Nowruz (the Iranian New Year) in Tirana, Albania, Maryam Rajavi said that the end of the Iranian regime was as inevitable as the passage from winter to spring.
Speaking to members of the People's Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI), the National Council of Resistance, and guests from Albania, France and United States, she reflected on 'the years of siege' from which the resistance had emerged and the multiple crises facing the regime.
