Frightened at the spread of student protests in Iran, Khamenei links protests to the “enemy”

ImageNCRI – Frightened at the spread of student protests, the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei ridiculously claimed that the “enemy” and U.S. and Israeli intelligence services were aiding student networks.

The state-run daily Resalat reported on Wednesday that while addressing a number of the regime’s hand-picked students in universities in an event dubbed “The Country’s Elected Students”, Khamenei said, “It is clear today that the enemy is investing on certain student movements. U.S. and Israeli spy agencies are even willing to aid student networks and strike a blow to genuine student movements in any way possible and under various outfits.”

Frightened at the rise in student actions in the country’s universities in recent weeks, Khamenei desperately sought to have students end their protests. He ludicrously tried to promise an improvement in the university conditions and said, “I am not satisfied with the work that has taken place; however, the reality is that there has been good progress in this domain, and this must be increased.”
