NCRI calls for effective international action against arbitrary executions in Iran

The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns the execution of Mohammad Yavar Salas and calls for effective action by the international community and human rights advocates against this arbitrary execution and the growing violation of human rights by the religious fascism ruling Iran.

Mohammad Yavar Salas, 51, from the Gonabadi Dervishes community, was arrested during the February 2018 protests on Golestan Avenue. The regime’s judiciary sentenced him to execution in an arbitrary manner, even in violation of its own laws. He had repeatedly stated that he had been tortured and pressured into accepting bogus allegations against him, although he had been innocent.

Despite providing credible evidence about the falsity of the charges against Mohammad Salas, the mullahs’ judiciary dismissed his appeal and refused to reinstate the trial.

Being engulfed with growing irremediable domestic and international crises and popular uprisings, the mullahs’ regime has stepped up brutal suppression and crimes against the Iranian people.

The ruling tyranny in Iran, which is a disgrace for contemporary humanity, must be rejected from the family of nations. All perpetrators of the killing of the Iranian people should be subject to the most severe sanctions and penalties and should be held accountable before international tribunals.
