Iran: Covid-19 Fatalities In 541 Cities Exceed 275,800

• While only less than 1% of the entire population has been vaccinated, Alireza Reisi, the spokesperson for the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT), brazenly said: The private sector can buy American made Moderna COVID-19 vaccines from Germany or the Netherlands, and only importing vaccines produced in the US and the UK are prohibited. • East Azerbaijan Health Center: In the first days of the current Persian calendar year (beginning March 20, 2021), we had 2-3 COVID-19 deaths daily; today, the death toll is 17 to 19. (Mehr news agency, May 3, 2021)

• Isfahan University of Medical Sciences: Except for the Kashan region, 2,264 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the Province. There are 390 patients in ICU. In the past 24 hours, 32 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19. (Mehr, May 3, 2021)

• Shiraz University of Medical Sciences: 30 patients with COVID-19 have died in the past 24 hours. There are currently 2,053 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, of whom 321 are in ICU. (ISNA news agency, May 3, 2021)

• West Azerbaijan University of Medical Sciences: 1,285 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 256 are in ICU, and 22 died in the past 24 hours. (Mehr, May 3, 2021)

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Monday, May 3, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 541 cities had exceeded 275,800. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 63,471, Isfahan 18,090, Khorasan Razavi 17,150, Khuzestan 16,859, Lorestan 11,453, Mazandaran 11,450, East Azerbaijan 11,283, West Azerbaijan 10,268, Gilan 9,576, Fars 8,567, Alborz 7,283, Sistan and Baluchestan 6,321, Hamedan 6,222, Kerman 6,219, Semnan 4,855, Kurdistan 4,772, Ardabil 3,487, Qazvin 3,209, Hormozgan 3,200, Bushehr 2,869, and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 2,255.
