NCRI – Reports from Tehran and other cities indicate a sluggish voter turnout at regime’s election charade today.

Number of security forces and observers are over 4 times the participating voters in Tehran at various polling stations such as Poonak Square, Shemiranat, Sadeque area, Mohseni Square, Seid Khandan, Narmak, Vali-Asr, and Saiee Park.

Soldiers have been sent to vote by force in some areas such as the Shemiranat.

Low turn out is also reported in cities such as Tabriz, Ghazvin, Shahin Shar, Behbehan.

A polling station in Fariabb was set on fire following a quarrel between regime factions while the public refused to attend to vote.

In order to prevent filming of the indolent turnout, regime forces prohibited mobile phones at the voting stations in Bandar Ganave.

Clashes have been reported between the security forces and the public over permission to have mobile phones inside the polling stations in Masjed-Soleiman.  The report indicates that the youth at the scene stood up for those who had mobile phones with them.
