Rafsanjani’s speech in Qom disrupted, forces him to leave town

Rafsanjani's speech in Qom disrupted, forces him to leave townNCRI – Yesterday, the speech by Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Chairman of the mullahs’ Expediency Council, in Qom was disrupted when some members of the audience protested. He abruptly stopped his speech and left town without attending his scheduled meetings.

The state-run Baztab website wrote, "Some [people] were organized before hand at six locations. Each person was being protected by another person." "Some youths rushed into the scene chanting anti-government slogans," it added.

Brig. Gen. Hossein Shariatmadari, the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s representative in the daily Kayhan, said that yesterday’s event "was just like what the Monafeqin (Mojahedin) do. Therefore, with no hesitation one can say that those involved in chanting irrelevant slogans and disrupting Hashemi Rafsanjani’s speech, were, if not enemy agents themselves, at least deluded individuals. In either case, what they did only strengthened and played into the hand of the enemy.”
