NCRI – Residents of Esfahan protested in several parts of the city on Thursday, which marked the 10th anniversary of the July 9, 1999 uprising and day 27 of the Iranian people’s current nationwide uprising. Suppressive forces attacked protestors on Khajou Bridge and arrested a number of young people. They were initially taken to a local police station and from there transferred to Esfahan’s notorious Dastgerd Prison.

Residents of Kerman protested in many streets, including Shafaa and Imam-Jom’eh streets, and chanted anti-government slogans as they moved toward Azadi and Moshtaq squares. Many people drove with their headlights on and honked their horns in solidarity.
