People in Tehran continue demonstration

 Nationwide uprising – Statement 165

People in Tehran continue demonstration by chanting “I will fight, I will die, but I will take back my country” and “Neither Gaza nor Lebanon, I sacrifice my life for Iran”

NCRI – As mullahs’ president Ahmadinejad started his speech, demonstrators in Palestine Street and Keshavarz Boulevard started chanting “Death to dictator” to express their hatred towards him and the clerical dictatorship. People were chanting “Torture and sexual assault are no longer effective.” Tens of thousands started marching from Amir Abad toward Jam-e Jam, the regime’s radio and TV station.

In Vali Asr street, as people were hitting the ground chanted: “Leave Palestine, look at crimes in Kahrizak,” in reference to barbaric crimes committed in Kahrizak prison. The protesters managed to repulse attack by Bassij force. Vali Asr Street to Vanak Square and other streets are packed with people. Thousands of people were chanting: “I will fight, I will die, but I will take back my country,” as they were marching toward Jam-e Jam Street. In Saie Park the young people were singing the nationalist anthem of “Oh Iran.”

At the same time masses of people while chanting “Neither Gaza nor Lebanon, I sacrifice my life for Iran” are marching from Rezaii-ha Square to Karegar Street and Enghelab Street.

The suppressive forces in fear of the publication of the films and photos of the people’s victorious uprising anyone who is caught filming the scenes with their mobiles is either detained or have their camera’s confiscated.

By filming the demonstrations the MOIS agents want to identify and later arrest the participants. The reporters of the state run television and radio are absent from the scene to report on the courageous anti government demonstration.

By using loudspeakers the regime’s helpless officials are trying to silence the people’s voices but people are defying them and continuing their anti government slogans.
