Protesters in Tehran today chanted “Death to Khamenei,” “Khamenei is a killer, his rule is illegitimate,” “Death to dictator, death to Ahmadinejad” and “Peace for the world, democracy for Iran.”

Suppressive forces are attacking demonstrators in various parts of the capital. The regime’s agents are beating people on their heads and faces with batons to prevent them from continuing their demonstration. In a clash in Zartosht Street, young people set fire to suppressive agents’ motorcycle.

In order to block spread of news about demonstrations, the regime has cut all mobile phone connections in central Tehran and along demonstration routes.  Furthermore, Iran’s Communications sent out SMS messages in bulk numbers yesterday threatening people with arrest if they attend demonstrations.
