New Iraqi forces, 140 armored vehicles, ambulances and fire-engines dispatched to Camp Ashraf

NCRI – Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has dispatched more units of Iraqi Army to Camp Ashraf to create a humanitarian catastrophe. At least 140 vehicles carrying suppressive Iraqi forces along with a number of ambulances and five fire-engines have arrived in Ashraf between 17:00 to midnight (local time) on Thursday.

Simultaneously, on the orders of al-Maliki, the American forces that had been dispatched on April 3 to Camp Ashraf to monitor the situation, have been forced to leave the camp.

In letters to the US President, Secretary of State and a number other American officials, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran,  called for immediate action to prevent another bloodbath in Camp Ashraf.

Representative of Ashraf residents urged representatives of the US embassy in Baghdad and office of the Department of State in Iraq to go to Ashraf and monitor the situation on the ground.
