Execution of 11 Prisoners on Wednesday and 71 Executions in the First Two Weeks of November

Six Protesters Sentenced to Death for the Killing of a Criminal Basij Member in the 2022 Uprising

Call for Urgent Action to Save Prisoners on Death Row

Yesterday, on Wednesday, November 13, another “bloody Wednesday,” Ali Khamenei’s criminal regime executed at least 11 prisoners. Khamenei’s executioners hanged Hamzeh Torkashvand, Jafar Rahespar, Khaled Tajik, Saman Bozorgi, Ahmad Alizadeh, and two other prisoners in Qezelhessar Prison, Mehdi Sharif and Hossein Faramarzi in Kashan, Fathollah Rashidi in Shiraz, and Ghiam Safizadeh in Jiroft.

Today, Thursday, November 14, the execution of another prisoner named Reza Kardel has been reported in Amol. At the same time, the regime’s judiciary has sentenced six protesters to death. These individuals were arrested two years ago during the 2022 uprising in Tehran’s Ekbatan district in connection with the death of a criminal Basij member.

The issuance of criminal death sentences and the wave of mass executions—accelerated at an unprecedented rate under Massoud Pezeshkian’s tenure—reflect the regime’s fear of an impending uprising, its attempt to curb the people’s simmering rage, and its futile bid to delay its inevitable overthrow.

The Iranian Resistance once again calls on the United Nations Security Council, the European Union and its member states, and all human rights organizations to take immediate action to stop these brutal executions and save the lives of those on death row in Iran. Expelling the godfather of executions, terrorism, and warmongering from the international community is essential for peace, combating terrorism, and upholding universally recognized human rights principles.
